Physical Therapist Assistant

Make an Impact on Our Geriatric Community:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will deliver an established plan of care to the patient and collaborate with the Physical Therapist throughout the patient's course of treatment.
The Physical Therapist Assistant may, in accordance with state/federal laws and practice acts, assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.
CLINICAL CARE:
o Confers with physical therapist and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.
o Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients as they practice exercises or functional activities.
Observes patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress and provides results to the physical therapist.
o Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and recordkeeping.
o Understand and display the FOX culture in all interactions.
o Adhere to policies and expectations that exist in all divisions of the practice to ensure high quality communication, operations, safety and care.
CLINICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE DOCUMENTATION:
o Work with Physical Therapist to review/submit all necessary clinical documentation in a timely fashion as per the Clinical Documentation SOP.
o Abide by all applicable rules and regulations set forth by third party payers.
o Understand and implement all policies related to intake, tracking log, and clinical documentation.
o Maintain chart audit scores per the Clinical Documentation Audit Procedure SOP.
o Complete annual Compliance modules by required deadlineo Understand and adhere to their FOX PTA state specific workflow and supervision rulesCOMMUNICATION:
o Follow the structure set forth by the organizing board.
o Check and respond to voicemail, email and other forms of communication as directed by RD, PT, and internal policies.
o Maintain communication with RD at all times, and at the minimum, conduct a weekly phone call.
o Respond to all memos in the time frame provided.
o Adhere to policies and procedures regarding paid time off including, but not limited to:
o Assistance with organizing coverage.
o Communication of all pertinent information to the covering clinician.
o Make contact with POA/emergency contact on all referrals as per FOX Policy.
o Make contact with community referrals within specified time frame that is consistent with practice expectations.
o View and implement necessary information from mandatory webinars.
o Attend and participate in mandatory regional staff meetings.
Must have valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state(s) of practice.
o Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
o Current CPR certification.
o Current annual TB test.
o Valid drivers license and auto insurance for those driving to clients' homes.
o Fit To Work form certified by MD.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
